App Inventor makes you an Android developer!
Google has introduced a revolutionary new way to develop applications for Android, and they've named it App Inventor. Currently in the beta stage, App Inventor is an extremely simple way of creating simplistic Android applications using a web based interface. App Inventor reminds me a lot of Alice (software used to teach basic programming skills using 3D animations www.alice.org) requiring virtually no knowledge of programming or software development to create a fully functional Android application.

This may very well be exactly what Android OS needs to propel the Android Market ahead of the competition giving Android users a larger selection of apps to choose from. My pessimistic side can't help but think about the sudden onslaught of terrible soundboard and fart applications that are going to hit the market as soon App Inventor is publically available. Check out the video below to see exactly how easy it is to create an app from scratch with App Inventor.
You can learn more about App Inventor, and apply for beta access, at Google's App Inventor for Android website.
